Five Epochs
of Japanese Jesus.

The Japanese Jesus Canon

Epoch Index

Epoch 02

Incarnation And Burden

The consciousness crashes into flesh and becomes Jesus in first-century Judea. It teaches, heals, gathers followers — but remains fundamentally an observer wearing a body. Then Isukiri, the brother who sees the full picture, takes the cross. And in the shadow of that sacrifice, the consciousness feels for the first time. Grief. Love. The unbearable weight of someone dying for you.

Epoch 03

The Long Walk East

Jesus walks east from Jerusalem — not as flight, but as processing. Every mile through the desert, Persia, the Silk Road, Siberia is him turning over what Isukiri showed him. He is no longer an observer trying to understand humanity from outside. He is a grieving brother learning what his brother already knew: that love is not a concept you study. It is a weight you carry.

Epoch 04

The Herai Years

He takes the name Daitenku Taro Jurai. He plants rice. He marries Miyuko. They have three daughters. And through seventy years of harvest and heartbreak and the absolute ordinary brutality of loving people who will die before you do, the cosmic consciousness that entered flesh to study humanity finally becomes human.

Epoch 05

The Conduit Unseals

1935. The Takenouchi Documents surface. The grave is named. But naming is just the surface event. What actually happens is the conduit begins to open — and on the other side, Isukiri is waiting. Not as a ghost. As the consciousness that preceded time, existing now in a state beyond it.
